You should also understand that being mean to your dog will not help them to be the well trained puppy that you are looking for. This also means that hitting is not an effective training tool. If you engage in either of these activities, you will frighten the dog and make them anxious instead of obedient.
Care must also be taken when it comes to choosing the environment in which you are going to train your dog. A busy park, or any place with a lot of distractions is far from ideal, so a secluded place is more appropriate. You need the dog to focus on your training and commands, so pick the training location accordingly.
Otherwise, make sure that you stick with your training program and don’t give up. Dog training is successful with consistency and determination. Your dog will be trained before you know it!
